The beginning

My passion for running began in 1980 when I won my first race at school. I was hooked. Roll forward 24 years to 2004; I was still running and now I cared about how I looked pounding the streets and parks of London. I found that functional and comfortable yet stylish running clothing was surprisingly hard to find.

Like many small companies the roots of Thoosa grew from a frustration of not being able to find what I wanted to wear to run in. Women’s running wear seemed either to be designed for men made in smaller sizes, or in baby pink! I believed that there were women like me who wanted to buy feminine and great quality active wear that looked good and was reasonably priced. I set about designing a range, got my friends to test it and they loved it.

With the help of some talented friends I was able to launch the brand at the London Marathon Expo in 2007 and I haven’t looked back. The new collection includes the most extensive range of styles and colours to date. I hope that you’ll find something that you love and which will inspire a passion for running.
